Monitor 802.11n Networks

WiFi Analyzer identifies and classifies all 802.11n capable devices in the network (including differentiating between standards-compliant and pre-standard 802.11n devices). It supports monitoring for 20 MHz and 40 MHz channels and also detects and classifies higher data rates used by the 802.11n devices. Using the Analyzer, users can classify/decode Non-HT and HT format traffic and physically locate 802.11n rogue devices operating in the environment (which are often invisible to non-802.11n analyzers). Hop-on today announces that its GSM cell phone, the HOP1811, will be available in the United States for $13.99 with a Graffiti Wireless Airtime Plan. “I use a 3G iPhone, it is a complicated, expensive device. Our phone is an 850/1900 MHz with AMR. You are not going to drop calls in similar areas as our competitor’s device. I challenge anyone to make a call faster than on the HOP1811,” says Hop-on CEO Peter Michaels. “With the cost of living and a borderline recession, this phone is going to be a huge sell for Hop-on in the US and international commerce. We also have a European 900/1800 MHz phone for our international partners.”

The HOP1811 is a dual-band 850/1900MHz, or 900/1800MHz phone for Europe and Asia, weighing a scant 79 grams, offers 4 hours of talk time, 150 hours of standby time and polyphonic ring tones. Mozilla to Announce Firefox Mobile Alpha in a Few

Chief Executive of Mozilla, John Lilly has revealed in an interview that the company is ready to release Firefox Mobile in few weeks time. “We want to make sure that the Web on mobile is more like the Web than what the mobile industry offers today, which is closed, separate networks and not a very good information-getting experience for the user. The first thing is to bring Firefox to mobile devices. We’re working on that, and we’ll see some alphas in a few weeks.” said John Lilly.

This is not the first time we heard about Firefox Mobile and its developer might have already been working on the firefox mobile at least one year ago.

New N-Gage Application Updates Released

If you are one of the gamer with Nokia N-Gage application, you can now update to v1.10_1318 with several fixes. The application is now more stable after you earned more than 10,000 of N-Gage Points, which previously would exit unexpectedly and refuse to restart.
